الإجابة: B. chemotherapy
Anaplastic carcinoma with distant (lung) metastases is not curable by resection. The notes say unresectable or metastatic disease gets palliative care, and anaplastic cancer is treated with chemo(radio)therapy. Total thyroidectomy is only for resectable cancer. RAI is useless because anaplastic cells do not take up iodine. Carbimazole and PTU treat hyperthyroidism, not cancer. The old bank key (E, excision) is not supported by the sources.
