الإجابة: B. Cardiovascular disease

✓ مطابق للمصدر CKD +RRT.pdf · p. 5

Cardiovascular disease is the main cause of excess death in CKD, especially in dialysis patients. Contributors include LVH (from hypertension and anaemia), vascular and valvular calcification from high phosphate, and the resulting arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death. This is far commoner than in the general population.

  • Infection and dialysis complications occur but are secondary.
  • Cancer is not the leading cause.
