الإجابة: C. Right facial nerve palsy

✓ مطابق للمصدر Basics of Neurology-Ali Rawas.pdf · p. 25

The corneal reflex has an afferent limb in the trigeminal (V1) nerve and an efferent limb in the facial nerve (orbicularis oculi), with bilateral central connections. The patient feels the touch in both eyes, so both trigeminal nerves work; touching either eye makes only the left eye blink, so the right facial nerve (efferent) is not working. Facial asymmetry fits.

  • A trigeminal palsy would abolish sensation and the blink of both eyes when that side is touched.
