الإجابة: B. Plasma exchange.
One week of ascending flaccid paralysis with areflexia = GBS, now with bulbar involvement (choking) and falling O2 saturation, so active treatment is urgent. GBS is treated with IVIG or plasma exchange (equivalent outcomes), plus respiratory monitoring. Steroids are not helpful in GBS; interferon and azathioprine are MS/MG therapies.
