الإجابة: A. Drug adverse reactions

✓ مطابق للمصدر Antibiotic-1 (3).pdf · p. 25

Pill-induced oesophagitis is a recognised adverse effect of tetracyclines, especially doxycycline, which injures the oesophageal mucosa directly. It presents with heartburn and retrosternal or upper abdominal pain. Her symptoms began on doxycycline and other investigations are normal, which fits an adverse drug reaction. Nothing suggests withdrawal, hepatitis (normal investigations) or a panic attack.

ليش كل خيار صح أو غلط

  • A ليش صح

Doxycycline is a recognised cause of pill-induced esophagitis through direct mucosal injury. She is taking it and her other investigations are normal, so an adverse drug reaction best explains her heartburn and pain.

    ✓ 2• Esophagitis [Notes].pdf · p. 1
  • C ليش غلط

Hepatotoxicity is a listed tetracycline adverse effect, but acute hepatitis is not supported here: her other investigations are normal, and heartburn with abdominal pain is a different picture.
