الإجابة: A. Postural hypotension

✓ مطابق للمصدر RT - Adrenal.pdf · p. 11

Fatigue, GI symptoms, low BP, sparse axillary hair and diffuse hyperpigmentation = primary adrenal insufficiency, which typically causes orthostatic (postural) hypotension. Options B–E each contain two words (apparently the original option plus a handwritten correction). As originally written (hypokalemia, metabolic alkalosis, high anion gap acidosis, hypernatremia) they are the opposite of Addison's, which causes hyponatremia, hyperkalemia and normal anion gap acidosis.

ليش كل خيار صح أو غلط

  • A ليش صح

Orthostatic (postural) hypotension is a listed symptom of adrenal insufficiency, along with fatigue, abdominal pain and pigmentation.

    ✓ RT - Adrenal.pdf · p. 11
  • B ليش غلط

Adrenal insufficiency causes hyperkalemia, not hypokalemia (with hyponatremia and hypoglycemia).

    ✓ RT - Adrenal.pdf · p. 11
  • C ليش غلط

The acid-base change in adrenal insufficiency is a normal anion gap metabolic acidosis, not alkalosis.

  • D ليش غلط

The metabolic acidosis of adrenal insufficiency is normal anion gap, not high anion gap.

    ✓ Adrenal disorders (2).pdf · p. 5
  • E ليش غلط

Adrenal insufficiency causes hyponatremia, not hypernatremia.
