الإجابة: D. Primary hyperaldosteronism

✓ مطابق للمصدر RT - Adrenal.pdf · p. 17

High aldosterone with low renin is the pattern of primary hyperaldosteronism (Conn's) — aldosterone is autonomous and suppresses renin. Secondary hyperaldosteronism (e.g. renal artery stenosis) has high aldosterone and high renin. Liddle syndrome causes HTN with low renin but low aldosterone.

ليش كل خيار صح أو غلط

  • A ليش غلط

Secondary hyperaldosteronism, including renal artery stenosis, has high aldosterone with high renin.

    ✓ RT - Adrenal.pdf · p. 17
  • B ليش غلط

On the renin/aldosterone slide, high aldosterone with low renin is Conn syndrome, while ectopic ACTH syndrome is the very rare low-aldosterone, low-renin pattern.

    ✓ RT - Adrenal.pdf · p. 17
  • C ليش غلط

Pheochromocytoma is a catecholamine-secreting tumour of the adrenal medulla, not a high-aldosterone, low-renin disorder.

    ✓ Adrenal summary.pdf · p. 6
  • D ليش صح

High aldosterone with low renin is the primary pattern (Conn syndrome).
