الإجابة: C. Normal FEV1/FVC ratio with matched reduction in FEV1 and FVC
Scleroderma-related ILD gives a restrictive pattern: FEV1 and FVC both reduced with a normal FEV1/FVC ratio. TLC is low, not high (D), and a reduced ratio (A) indicates obstruction. (Strictly, FVC usually falls a little more than FEV1, but option C is the restrictive pattern.)
ليش كل خيار صح أو غلط
-
A
ليش غلط
A low FEV1/FVC ratio (FEV1 lowered more than FVC) is the obstructive pattern, not that of ILD.
✓ Pulmonology 🫁.pdf · p. 3 -
B
ليش غلط
ILD is restrictive, so FEV1 and FVC are both lowered; spirometry is not normal.
✓ Pulmonology 🫁.pdf · p. 3 -
C
ليش صح
In restrictive disease both FEV1 and FVC are lowered and the ratio remains normal; ILD is listed as restrictive.
✓ Pulmonology 🫁.pdf · p. 3 -
D
ليش غلط
Total lung capacity is low in restrictive disease and high in obstructive disease.
