الإجابة: A. Acute bronchitis
A well-looking young non-smoker whose cough and minor haemoptysis follow a recent viral URTI, with only low-grade fever and a normal CXR, fits acute bronchitis (recent viral URTI, cough, no focal chest signs, afebrile or low-grade fever). TB is unlikely with no chronic cough, weight loss, night sweats, contact or travel, and a negative PPD. PE presents with sudden pleuritic pain and dyspnoea, and small cell cancer is a disease of older smokers.
