الإجابة: C. Laparotomy with bowel resection
Air inside the bowel wall (pneumatosis intestinalis) is a sign of bowel wall ischaemia and necrosis. With fever, generalized tenderness and leukocytosis, it means gangrenous caecum. The treatment is laparotomy with resection of the non-viable bowel. Decompression (colonoscopic or cecostomy) and antibiotics with observation are not safe options for necrotic bowel.
