الإجابة: A. Broad-spectrum antibiotic therapy
A palpable mass means complicated diverticulitis (phlegmon/abscess), managed as an inpatient with NPO, IV fluids and broad-spectrum IV antibiotics, plus drainage if an abscess >4 cm is found on CT. Colonoscopy and enemas are avoided in the acute phase (perforation risk). Emergency resection is for generalized peritonitis, and NGT is not routine without obstruction.
