الإجابة: A. Aplastic
A very low Hb with pancytopenia and an inappropriately low reticulocyte count (1%) in sickle cell disease means the marrow has stopped producing cells. This is an aplastic crisis, classically triggered by parvovirus B19. In splenic sequestration and hyperhaemolysis, Hb also falls fast, but the marrow keeps working and the reticulocyte count stays high. A vaso-occlusive crisis presents mainly with pain.
