K+ 2.5 on furosemide is hypokalemia, whose ECG shows flattened T waves, ST depression, U waves and a prolonged QT.
- Peaked T waves are the earliest sign of hyperkalemia, the opposite disorder.
- Hypokalemia does predispose to tachyarrhythmias, but the characteristic ECG finding asked for is the U wave.
