الإجابة: A. EEG
Recurrent brief staring spells with unresponsiveness in a teenager with a normal exam suggest absence seizures, which are confirmed by EEG (each attack is accompanied by 3 Hz spike-and-wave activity). CT is for structural lesions (absences are never due to acquired lesions), and Holter monitoring is for cardiac syncope.
ليش كل خيار صح أو غلط
-
A
ليش صح
Typical absence seizures show 3 Hz spike-and-wave EEG activity with each attack, so EEG confirms the diagnosis.

B
ليش غلط
Typical absence attacks are never due to acquired lesions such as tumours, so a structural scan does not confirm the diagnosis.
