الإجابة: D. Increases insulin secretion

✓ مطابق للمصدر Anti-diabetic.pdf · p. 3

Gliclazide is a sulfonylurea (insulin secretagogue): it closes ATP-dependent K+ channels on beta cells, causing depolarization, calcium influx and increased insulin release. Decreasing tissue insulin sensitivity is the opposite of what insulin sensitizers do, and it does not alter insulin half-life or metabolism.

ليش كل خيار صح أو غلط

  • A ليش غلط

Insulin half-life is not among the listed sulfonylurea actions, which are insulin release from beta cells (main), lower glucagon, and possible potentiation of insulin action in tissues.

    ✓ Anti-diabetic.pdf · p. 3
  • B ليش غلط

Sulfonylureas do the opposite: they possibly potentiate insulin action at target tissues rather than reduce sensitivity.

    ✓ Anti-diabetic.pdf · p. 3
  • C ليش غلط

Insulin metabolism is not among the listed sulfonylurea actions, which are insulin release from beta cells (main), lower glucagon, and possible potentiation of insulin action in tissues.

    ✓ Anti-diabetic.pdf · p. 3
  • D ليش صح

Gliclazide is a sulfonylurea: it stimulates insulin release from the pancreas by closing ATP-dependent potassium channels on beta cells.
