الإجابة: A. Renal tubular acidosis
Renal tubular acidosis is a classic cause of normal-AG (hyperchloraemic) metabolic acidosis (bicarbonate lost or not regenerated by the kidney). DKA, lactic acidosis, methanol and renal failure/uraemia are all listed under increased-AG acidosis.

-
A
ليش صح
Renal tubular acidosis (proximal or distal) is listed under normal-AG acidosis: bicarbonate is lost or not made, so low HCO3 comes with high Cl and the gap stays normal.

B
ليش غلط
Ketoacidosis (diabetes, starvation, alcohol) is listed under increased-AG acidosis, not normal-AG.

C
ليش غلط
Lactic acidosis (low tissue perfusion, shock) is listed under increased-AG acidosis, not normal-AG.

D
ليش غلط
Methanol intoxication is listed under increased-AG acidosis, not normal-AG.

E
ليش غلط
Renal failure with uremia raises the anion gap through reduced excretion of organic anions, sulfate and phosphate, so it is listed under increased-AG acidosis.
