الإجابة: A. Congestive heart failure

✓ مطابق للمصدر Pleural effusion.pdf · p. 4

By Light's criteria the fluid is a transudate: protein ratio 0.38 (≤0.5), LDH ratio 0.46 (≤0.6) and LDH 110 IU (<200). The commonest cause of a transudative effusion is congestive heart failure. Parapneumonic effusion, sarcoidosis and SLE produce exudates.

ليش كل خيار صح أو غلط

  • A ليش صح

CHF is the first-listed cause of transudative effusion, matching this low-protein, low-LDH fluid (protein ratio 0.38, LDH ratio 0.46).

    ✓ Pleural effusion.pdf · p. 2
  • B ليش غلط

Parapneumonic effusion is listed among exudative effusions (infection), whereas this fluid is a transudate.

    ✓ Pleural effusion.pdf · p. 2
  • C ليش غلط

Sarcoidosis is listed with the exudative (autoimmune) causes, whereas this fluid is a transudate.

    ✓ Pleural effusion.pdf · p. 3
  • D ليش غلط

SLE is listed with the exudative (autoimmune) causes, whereas this fluid is a transudate.
